A snowmobiler died in Presque Isle Friday afternoon, when the driver was thrown from the vehicle and hit a tree.
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office says the snowmobile had gone off trail and rolled over.
Responding officers were not able to save the driver.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is investigating the accident.
