Shannon Wolf Scheduled To Face Jury Trial in October

A trial date of October 15th has been set for a man accused of killing another man in Rhinelander 12 years ago.

Barring a plea deal, 40-year-old Shannon Wolf is facing a seven-day jury trial on an Oneida County charge of first-degree intentional homicide.

A pre-trial conference is set for September first. Authorities first assumed that Kenneth Wells drowned in the Wisconsin River in mid-2003.

However, Wolf's ex-wife went to police last year and told police what she knew.
Prosecutors said Wells got into an argument at a bar with another man over Wells' failure to pay for marijuana.

She reportedly saw three men drag him to a bridge, where they started hitting him with a rock and eventually pushed him into the river after he stopped resisting.

Shannon Wolf was said to be one of those men.

He's already serving time for other charges involving an alleged assault on his then-wife, Latoya Wolf.

She is charged with being a party to Wells' homicide.  She's due back in court July 2nd for a pre-trial conference.
