This weekend marks the start of the 51st Annual Beef-A-Rama in Minocqua. Department of Tourism Director Stephanie Klett says people come from near and far for the beef-cook offs, roast beef sandwiches, beef eating contests and the beef parade. She says it’s a one-of-a-kind event.
“…Where else does a whole town come together and each business and individual grill a rump roast. Then at the end of the day, after their rump roasts are judged, they dress them up and put them in a big parade and roll them down the street.”
Awards are given to the top rump roasters following the parade. Other activities include the 5 and 10K Rump Roast Run, craft shows and music.
Festivities start September 25 at Torpy Park. For a full list of scheduled events visit travelwisconsin.com
