ArtStart is starting their Middle Eastern film series this week. The series will feature a new film every week exploring Middle Eastern Culture. Elaine Strite is hosting the series and will lead discussions following the films. Strite lived and worked in the Middle East for nearly 30 years and encourages the public to experience the unique culture.
“…my main schtick is to show middle eastern culture through middle eastern culture rather than talking about it, that’s what we are trying to do at ArtStart.”
Strite will be showing Children of Heaven on Thursday. The film follows two children and explores life in Iran. ArtStart will show a new film every Thursday for the next four weeks.
