Wisconsin Women =Prosperity is seeking grant applications from local organizations that are looking to strengthen the state’s economy. WW=P is a non-profit, non-partisan economic development whose mission is to empower women to make contributions in corporate, political and civic life. Member Brenda Halminiak says applicants must support one or more of their four pillars.

“WW=P is looking for grant applications ideally from non-profit organizations that tie in with one of the four pillars of WW=P. Those four pillars are health safety and well being, educational achievement  leadership and political participation and economic sufficiency.”

Halminiak says initiatives focused on helping women and children in Oneida County will be given the highest consideration. Halminiak says candidates can win up to $2,000.

Winners will be announced April 8 at the LUNAFEST film festival at the Three Lakes Center for the Arts.  Applications are due by January 31. For more information or to request an application call Halminiak at 715-550-0492.
