There's a little bit of irony in this, but the state Division of Emergency Management has postponed today's scheduled tornado drill due to severe weather.
A major winter storm is hitting all of Wisconsin today, producing severe thunderstorms, hail and possibly tornadoes in southern Wisconsin and snow in the north.
The drill had been set for this afternoon and will be postponed until Friday afternoon. A mock tornado drill will begin Friday at 1:00 p.m., with a mock tornado warning at 1:45 p.m. and a second mock tornado warning at 6:45 p.m.
