WXPR Features Editor and Morning Edition Host Mackenzie Martin took home four awards—including two 1st place awards—in small market radio at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Awards Gala held Saturday, May 4th in Madison.
Mackenzie won 1st place for Best Interview for Author Jacquelyn Mitchard on Resilience, 1st place for Best Web Story for Successful Mushroom Hunters Pay Attention to the Details, 3rd place for Best News Writing for A Tale of Two Ambulances, and 3rd place for Best Use of Audio in Radio News for Bog is the 1978 Oneida County Horror Film You Haven't Seen.
