2 Wisconsin Native American Tribes Receive $2.5M In Federal Grants

Federal grants of two-and-a-half-million dollars will pay for the installation of solar panels on tribal buildings.

The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in Odanah and the Forest County Potawatomi Community in Crandon expect to save millions of dollars in energy bills over the next 25 years.

One dozen tribes nationwide got the grants.  The money comes from the Indian Energy Policy and Programs Office in Washington, D-C.
