An Appleton man was arrested Saturday after two high speed chases that involved six law enforcement agencies across northcentral Wisconsin.

On Saturday morning, the gas station in Tripoli reported a gasoline-drive off.

Throughout the next several hours, the car was spotted and chased by law enforcement in the Rhinelander, Antigo, and Merrill areas. Merrill Police even tried using tire deflation spikes to stop the car, but the driver avoided them.

Marathon County deputies finally stopped and arrested the man in Mosinee.

The 38-year-old was wanted in Winnebago and Waupaca counties, as well as by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
