5/3/2020 UPDATE:

Oneida County Health Department (OCHD) has received notification a seventh person in Oneida County has been diagnosed with novel coronavirus infection or (COVID-19). The individual is in their 80’s and has a history of travel outside of the community. The individual has been hospitalized. County health officials are working to determine how the individual may have become infected and are contacting others with whom the person has been in contact.

Lincoln County has confirmed finding its first positive case of COVID-19. The findin leaves Wisconsin with just five of its 72 counties without a coronavirus-positive case.

The Lincoln County Health Department said the infected person is in their 70s and has not had contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

The person is isolated at home, and health officials are working to figure out how they may have become infected.

“Lincoln County Health Department has experience caring for individuals in isolation and doing necessary follow-up. We will continue working with the WI Department of Health Services, our local health care providers and other partners, to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the county. Updates will be provided to the media as information becomes available,” said Lincoln County Health Officer Shelley Hersil.

The only Wisconsin counties that haven’t found a positive case of COVID-19 include Forest, Langlade, Taylor, Pepin, and Burnett.
