Positive COVID-19 Case In The Marathon County Jail

Marathon County Sheriff Facebook

The Marathon County Jail will be in lockdown until Friday morning after an inmate tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook Post, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office says the jail was notified of the positive test July 21. The inmate had been in the jail during the infectious period.  The inmate is asymptomatic and is being medically monitored in isolation.

The sheriff’s office will work with the Marathon County Health Department to follow up on who the inmate may have been in contact with.
