Iron County Sheriff Facebook

A passenger on an ATV died when it crashed and she went under the water in Iron County, Wisconsin.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office got the call around 8:40 p.m. Friday night.

However, the caller wasn’t able to provide a clear location.

They said there was a crash with a female under the water.

Many agencies responded to help find the crash site.

Around 10:00 p.m. Friday, a passerby found the crash on Trail 13 in the Town of
Carey.

Emergency workers found a UTV off the trail and partially submerged.

The male diver was taken from the scene by Beacon Ambulance.

The female was pronounced dead by the Iron County Coroner.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor, according to a press release from the Iron County Sheriff’s Office.
