Stolen Car Search Leads to Drug Arrest in Forest County

Forest County Sheriff's Office

The Forest County Sheriff’s Office says two people are facing multiple drug charges after their arrest two weeks ago.

On May 26, the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office sent out a notice of a stolen car from its county. It was believed the suspects were armed and possibly in possession of narcotic drugs.

The next day, detectives with the Forest County Sheriff’s Office found the car in Crandon. Police arrested the two suspects after they pulled into the Krist Oil Gas Station.

The driver was identified as Jesse Jackson, 36, of Lac du Flambeau. Ashley White, 31, of Milwaukee was a passenger in the car.

While searching Jackson, police found fentanyl on him. Officers say they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on White.

Detectives found more drugs and packaging material in the car, including fentanyl, meth, suboxone, and prescription pills.

Both were taken to the Forest County Jail. White later had to be treated for a possible drug overdose. That’s when officers also found fentanyl on her.

Jackson was arrested for felony operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, felony possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, possession of prescription pills without a valid prescription, 2 counts of felony bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia.

White was arrested for party to the crime of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, felony possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, felony possession of fentanyl, 2 counts of possession of prescription pills without a valid prescription, possession of other drugs generally, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony bail jumping and 2 counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

Both Jackson and White are currently being held in the Forest County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond set by the court.
