Forest County Sheriff resigns, Governor Evers seeks replacement

The Forest County Sheriff has resigned.

Governor Evers announced Wednesday that he was seeking applicants for Forest County Sheriff.

Sheriff John Dennee resigned September 5th.

The Governor is seeking someone to fill the role until January of 2023.

The application for appointment can be found on the “Apply to Serve” page on Gov. Evers’ website at: www.evers.wi.gov. To apply, please complete the “Register of Deeds, Coroner, and Sheriff” application form.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021.
