Union members rally, small towns recruit EMTs and more communities test for PFAS

Wisconsin union members rallied over the weekend in protest of Oshkosh Corp.’s decision to build USPS delivery vehicles in South Carolina instead of Wisconsin. Meanwhile, many Northwoods communities are struggling to recruit EMTs. One fire department is hoping to fix that. Then, a new report finds more than 1,000 Wisconsin children lost a caretaker to COVID-19. Finally, as state lawmakers discuss setting new standards for PFAS, some communities in north-central Wisconsin are testing for the chemicals for the first time.
