The Forest County Health Department is reporting COVID-19 cases linked to a couple of businesses.
Two employees at Charlie’s Lake Metonga Resort have tested positive for the virus. They were working at the resort on September 4th and 5th.
The health department said it’s not possible to specially identify all close contacts from an exposure in this instance. The Health Department is asking anyone who thinks they have been exposed to stay home and quarantine for 14 days and call your health care provider to get tested.
Charlie’s Lake Metonga Resort is working closely with the health department.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is conducting a public health investigation at The Bay at NuRoc, according to the Forest County Health Department.
The department said this is initiated any time a positive case is identified in a long-term care facility, whether it is a staff member or resident that tests positive for COVID-19.
To date, one staff member has tested positive. The health department said The Bay at NuRoc is working closely with local and state health officials to ensure all safety measures and infection control practices are being followed.
Testing of residents and staff will be ongoing.
