Special Response Team Executes Warrant Saturday In Pelican

Two suspects wanted in a shooting in Milwaukee were arrested there Saturday after a search warrant was executed in the Town of Pelican east of Rhinelander.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Department reports Milwaukee Police Saturday requested the department check on a vehicle they believed located at 3110 North Pelican Lake Road. That vehicle was sought in connection with a shooting July 19 in Milwaukee.

Oneida County Sheriff’s detectives applied for a state search warrant for the residence as well as the vehicle. At 3:17 p.m., the Special Response Teams assisted in the execution of the search warrant. Later Saturday. the two subjects were taken into custody on the warrants by the Milwaukee Police Department at their residence in Milwaukee.

The suspects were identified as 33-year-old Dominic Salas and 28-year-old Nicole Salas, both of Milwaukee.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Langlade and Vilas County's Special Response Teams, Rhinelander Police Department and Oneida County EMS..
