Thursday is another free food giveaway at the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry.
Last month, a similar giveaway was well attended. Pantry organizers say it's being provided through Feeding America and another agency. Any person, regardless of income, can come to the Food Pantry on Thursday, July 9th after 12:30 p.m. There are no forms to fill out.
The public can enter behind the pantry from Carr Street exiting on to Coon Street. The line will start at the pantry driveway on Carr St to Coon Street then turn right on Newell Street and line up on side of the cemetery. The Pantry volunteers are asking that you not block any driveways.
Social distancing will be observed. If your trunk has room and is open, the box will be placed in it. If the box of food has to be placed inside the vehicle, officials say you will need to load it yourself. This is a no-contact pickup.
