  • Ken Allington is originally from Central Wisconsin. He left Stratford to attend the Coast Guard Academy and then spent an additional 26 years in the United States Coast Guard. He served in a variety of positions around the United States aboard ships and also as a Civil Engineer. Upon retiring Ken and his wife, Ellen, returned to Wisconsin and live outside Phillips near the family cottage that was a favorite stop during their many cross country transfers. Ken and Ellen have three children who often visit their retirement home near Phillips and Musser Lake. Ken was on the WXPR board previously and has returned for another tour.
  • Kristofor Husted is a senior reporter at KBIA in Columbia, Mo. Previously Husted reported for NPR’s Science Desk in Washington and Harvest Public Media. Husted was a 2013 fellow with the Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources and a 2015 fellow for the Institute for Journalism and Justice. He’s won regional and national Edward R. Murrow, PRNDI and Sigma Delta Chi awards. Husted also is an instructor at the Missouri School of Journalism. He received a B.S. in cell biology from UC Davis and an M.S. in journalism from Northwestern University.
  • Doualy Xaykaothao is a newscaster and reporter for NPR, based in Culver City. She returned to NPR for this role in 2018, and is responsible for writing, producing, and delivering national newscasts. She also reports on breaking news stories for NPR.
