After a major fire at the Oneida Village Inn in Three Lakes this week, the Three Lakes Sanitary District issued a boil water notice to town residents.
In fighting the fire, the municipal water supply was drained.
Officials were concerned of what is called a back flow issue which could have resulted in harmful bacteria in the water supply. After testing at a lab, officials say the tests showed no evidence of total coliform bacteria present in the water supply.
Officials say the water supply has returned to a safe condition and the boil water notice has been lifted. The Three Lakes Sanitary District thanked residents for their patience and understanding.
