During the Thanksgiving holiday, we pause to express gratitude for the blessings of family, friends and the abundance of our lives. In this spirit, the WXPR staff and volunteers send you our best wishes for the season.

9am Thanksgiving Midday Classics with Molly Rose Teuke

11am Turkey Confidential- Don't know what to do? Don't know where to start? Here's a guide to keep you on track for the perfect Thanksgiving meal.

1pm Brains on! The Science of Cooking- Brains On!, the science show for kids and curious adults, heads to the kitchen to examine the science of cooking.

2pm-4pm Giving Thanks- This year, Thanksgiving falls on the Feast Day of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music! Host John Birge is using the occasion to invite one of the world’s most treasured composers to the table. John Rutter is a choral music icon, and new piece for VocalEssence gives thanks for the joy of music.

6pm- Every Good Thing- This Thanksgiving, host Elena See and classical music fans from around the country take time to give thanks and celebrate one of life's most meaningful gifts: music. Audiences will hear listeners from across the U.S. share stories about their favorite classical music pieces.

7pm Harvest Home- Hosted by renowned folk duo Jay Ungar & Molly Mason, Harvest Home celebrates Thanksgiving, Autumn and the Harvest Season with a spicy offering of American Roots Music simmered to perfection.

8pm The Pleasures of Winter-  Jay Ungar and Molly Mason present an hour of acoustic music celebrating the holidays and the winter season.
