Hi, I'm Doug Malinsky. I host Northwoods Café every other Monday and also do stints on Rock and Roll Radio and Open Turntable. Before I was a volunteer host at WXPR, I remember being up here at our cottage with a good friend, staying up late, playing backgammon, and listening to WXPR. The music was particularly great that evening and I thought how cool it would be to be able to play music on the air like that. When I retired I came to the station and signed up to be trained and be a substitute host. In 2006 I did 9 shows and the rest, as they say, is history.

- The Allman Betts Band "Bless Your Heart"
Of course, I have the luxury of also listening to lots more, as I put together and present a show every other week.
