Vilas County will be opening its snowmobile trails Monday.
The 11 snowmobile clubs that’s maintain the trails voted to open. They’ve put in dozens of hours brushing, signing, and grooming the trails to get them ready.
Trails will be in early season riding condition.
Riders are urged to watch their speed and stay to the right.
Most trails have an ice base.
With the fluffy snow this week, turns and hills will be especially slippery.
Only ride on lakes if they are marked.
Vilas County Parks and Recreation reminds riders that riding off trail is considering trespassing could result in trail closures.
The trails open at 8:00 a.m. Monday, December 27.
