Projects Needed for Leadership Oneida County

openclipart.org merlin2525

Northwoods non-profits are invited to submit a project for consideration to the latest group of candidates involved in Leadership Oneida County.

The program has 16 adult participants who need to complete a community project to graduate. Steering Committee member Dana DeMet says as part of the nine-month leadership program, non-profits can get help from the candidates in a variety of ways....

"....what we are looking for are interesting, sometimes complex, sometimes more involved projects from non-profit organizations that are looking for some expertise, advice or guidance from anything ranging from strategic planning to media pushes or marketing campaigns...."

Among many other efforts, a program originated by Leadership candidates led to the successful weekend food backpack program where food was sent home to students lacking good nutrition. Next month, the non-profits hoping to be selected for a project will present before the group for consideration.

Applications are available at the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce or visitingexplorerhinelander.comApplications are due by December 4. Contact the Chamber if you have questions
