LeRoy Butler To Speak At Annual Leaderfest Gathering

A former Green Bay Packer great is the keynote speaker at an event to help develop leaders in the Northwoods.

The Northwoods United Way is hosting the fourth annual Leaderfest, a one-day event for people interested in gaining leadership skils, networking with others, and learning about what leadership and volunteer opportunities and needs exist within the tri-county area.

Northwoods United Way Executive Director Nancy Sattler says the event helps build community...

"Northwoods United Way has been doing Leaderfest, this is the fourth year now. The reason we got involved doing it is because we believe by offering people the opportunity to strengthen their own leadership skills it also helps to strengthen our communities. Stronger leaders equal a stronger community..."

Other speakers include President of Stormy Kromer Gina Thorsen, Scott Reppert, CEO of Purova, and local leaders including Pat Marquardt of Printpak, Brent Sunby of Walmart in Rhinelander, Kate Ferrell of Nicolet College, Rhonda Jicinski of CT's Deli and Josh Clark of Culvers.

Leaderfest is set for 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August. 14th, at the Nicolet College – Lakeside Center in Rhinelander. Lunch is included. Cost is $45 per person.
