Volunteers Needed For 40th Annual Cranberryfest In Eagle River

Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce

If you want to get in on the action at Cranberryfest in Eagle River, there are volunteer openings waiting for you.

Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center Executive Director Kim Emerson says they're looking for volunteers to help put the event together...

"...We're looking for people starting on Wed. October 2nd that can mark out all the arts and crafts booths at the fairgrounds. We're looking for volunteers for Friday, October 4th for setup. We're looking for volunteers, especially during the event. People who would want to work in the bakery area. People to work in the information area, telling people about the event..."

...and the list of volunteer openings goes on including people to help out after the event cleaning up.

Emerson says one of the Northwoods premier events could not take place without volunteers...

"..This event is truly a community event. It could not be done without the help of all of our volunteers. If somebody is interested in helping us, just a couple of hours even, it's a lot of fun, you meet new people. Just give (them) a call at the Eagle River Chamber at 715-479-6400..."

40,000 visitors are expected the weekend of October 5th and 6th at the Vilas County Fairgrounds in Eagle River for the 40th annual event.
