Thursday, Friday and Saturday is the inaugural "Project North", a music, art and sustainability festival in downtown Rhinelander.
Also this weekend is the annual 'School of the Arts' being held at Treehaven near Tomahawk and the opening reception Thursday at 5 p.m. of the 32nd annual Northern Art Competition at Nicolet College, a joint venture of the Northern Arts Council and Nicolet College.
Besides more than 30 bands, there's an Eco-Village, showing sustainable practices.
There's works of art, and live radio broadcasts.
One of the festival organizers, Melinda Childs of ArtStart and Nicolet College stopped by the studios to talk about the event..
