Power Coming Back On Line After Severe Weekend Storm

maxpixel.net

Wisconsin Public Service crews worked through a very cold night to restore power after the intense winter storm cut power to thousands of customers over the weekend.

As of Monday morning about 450 customers are without power, including 15 in Rhinelander, 11 in Three Lakes and 3 in Eagle River.

WPS spokesperson Matt Cullen reports since late Saturday crews have restored power to more than 34,000 customers. Cullen says crews encountered significant damage, including broken utility poles, downed power lines and tree limbs on power lines, as well as challenging travel conditions.

He reminds gas customers to make sure the vents for their natural gas meter and appliances are free of snow and if you encounter a downed power line to stay at least 25 feet from it. Information on outages is available at wisconsin public service . org
