Chances look better this winter for the construction of the popular Eagle River Ice Castle.
The Eagle River Fire Department leads the effort to construct the ice castle.
They reported as of Friday there were 6.5 inches of good ice on Silver Lake.
That’s the lake where blocks are cut to build the ice castle.
They say another few days where temperatures dip below zero could be enough.
The ice castle was last built in 2022.
