MINOCQUA – There are three candidates vying for the two at-large seats on the Lakeland Union High School District board of education. No one filed non-candidacy papers.
Two at-large incumbents, Ann Hunt and Dean Bortz, filed candidacy papers by Tuesday’s deadline. A third candidate, James Wescott, is a former school board member. They will square off in the April 5 general election. Those taking office will serve a three-year term.
The only other seat open was for the North Lakeland area, which saw only incumbent Barb Peck filing papers. That seat also is for a three-year term.
