Kwik Trip Gets Zoning Change OK For Second Rhinelander Store

The second Kwik-Trip store in Rhinelander is closer to reality.

The city council last night approved a certified survey map for 1539 North Stevens Street and 1512 Eagle Street as outlined by Mayor Dick Johns...

"...motion has been made and seconded to approve. Any further questions or comments in regards to this issue?"

KWIK TRIP would like to open a second store on Rhinelander's north side. The first store opened on  Eisenhower Parkway  on the city's east side in August 2014.
The Oneida County Board next week will hold a special meeting next Tuesdayto debate what to do with a third Kwik Trip offer. The LaCrosse-based firm would like to open a larger Kwik Trip store at the county highway shops property on Rhinelander's west side. The company has made a $2.3 million dollar offer on the property.
If they county agrees to the offer, they would have to build a new highway shop, likely on county-owned land on the city's south side.  But other proposals include rejected the Kwik Trip offer and remodeling the current facility.
