Update: Missing Lac du Flambeau man found dead

(Updated 11/23 1:55 p.m.): The Lac du Flambeau Tribal Police Department said Calvin Lee Wolfe, Sr., 30, was found dead Tuesday morning.

Community members, drones, and search and rescue groups helped search for the man.

At 9:35 a.m. a Newbold Search & Rescue canine alerted its handler, indicating that Calvin had been found dead.

“We are devastated, but we are thankful and relieved that Calvin has been found," Calvin's mother, Sheila Flores, said on behalf of her family. "We would like to thank all those who helped during this past week, including everyone who searched for Calvin. We appreciate all of the help, support and prayers.”

Wolfe was last seen on November 14, and reported missing four days later.

The family of Calvin Lee Wolfe, Sr. asks that their privacy be respected at this sad time.

Police said they do not believe he was murdered and do not suspect any danger to the community.
