During the past year, the public has participated in a number of DNR wildlife surveys. The results of those survey are available online.

Survey results include population surveys and estimates, harvest results and wildlife observation reports. DNR specialist Jes Rees Lohr, outlines how the surveys were done...

"...We've had volunteers assist with the survey efforts. Some are run by our wildlife managers and other DNR staff. There's a wide collection of people who contribute the data for the surveys. Most surveys are done in the spring, but there is some fall data the is contributed to this..."

The reports include data collected on small game, big game, waterfowl, fur bearer and non-game species and were made possible grant funding through the Pittman-Robinson fund. Surveys on popular game species include ruffed grouse, black bear, turkeys, bobcats, and several others. Non-game topics include surveys of marten, prairie chickens, frogs and toads and others.

The reports can be found by visiting the DNR website and searching keyword "reports."
