As story two in a three part series, Jill Zagar reports three of four school districts in Forest County added new superintendents. Goodman-Armstrong Creek added Superintendent Cory Hankel to the district. Hankel worked as a principal in a suburb of Madison, but he says adjusting from a large city to a small town has been easy.
“Meeting the kids today, everyone treats each other like family. They watch out for one another. We’re trying to have all the opportunities that a big school has, but still keeping this small feeling.”
Hankel says he looks forward to connecting with people and the Northwoods community.
