WisDOT Seeks Public Input on Forest County Highway 32 Improvements

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is planning to make improvements to a section of Highway 32 in Forest County as soon as next year.

Right now, it’s seeking public input.

In coming years, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to resurface a portion of Highway 32.

It’s the 4-mile stretch between Carter and County C in Wabeno.

Nick Vos is the project manager.

“In downtown Carter, we’re going to do a higher level of pavement treatment,” he said. “We’re going to go all the way down, take all the pavement out and put all the pavement back because there’s a little more distress in that area.”

Vos said the plans also include widening the shoulder, maintaining storm sewers and removing a section of parking in downtown Carter.

Anyone can give feedback to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation about the project.

“If they live there, they know the issues more than sometimes we do, so if there’s things out there that they know of that we should look at, bring those forward so we can vet those out,” Vos said.

You can submit feedback through this online survey through January 29: https://2.selectsurvey.net/wisdot/wis32forest#
