Rhinelander Woman Who Runs at-Home Daycare Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Child
A Rhinelander woman who runs an at-home daycare is accused of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16 years old.
37-year-old Stacy Melby is facing six charges, two of them felonies, for allegedly having sexual relations with a 15-year-old.
Authorities say Melby also let teens drink and smoke in her home where she runs a licensed daycare.
According to court documents, Melby admitted to having sexual contact with a teen. Police say they found text messages that confirmed drug use and sexual contact with several teens.
A judge set bond at $10,000. Melby will be back in court on Wednesday.
