Pelicans Helped by Raptor Education Group Heading to Milwaukee Zoo

Raptor Education Group Facebook

Four American White Pelicans helped by the Raptor Education Group in Antigo will have a new home at the Milwaukee Zoo.

According to a Facebook post by the Raptor Education Group, the birds were not able to be released to the wild.

The two adults and two immature Pelicans hit powerlines in Green Bay, Menasha and Oshkosh in December and January.

They left the Raptor Education Group yesterday morning to be display birds in the Milwaukee Zoo.

The Raptor Education Group says pelicans are social beings and should do well in a zoo setting.
