The DNR has issued an air quality alert for Northern Wisconsin.
It says smoke from wildfires from Canada is making its way from the Northwest and spreading over most of the state.
Air quality is expected to drop into the “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” category.
All counties in our region are under the advisory.
Sensitive groups include children, elderly people, individuals with respiratory and cardiac problems, and anyone engaged in strenuous outdoor activities for a prolonged period of time.
The advisory is expected to expire Tuesday at noon.
