Senate candidate Alex Lasry meets with leaders at Nicolet College.

Senate candidate Alex Lasry paid a visit to the Northwoods on Tuesday.

He spoke with leaders at Nicolet College about the school’s small business and entrepreneurship programs.

Lasry is one of a dozen democratic candidates for U.S. Senate hoping to win the party's nomination and challenge incumbent Ron Johnson.

We’re talking about how are we going to raise wages and create more jobs and investment,” Lasry says. “We’re talking about how we’re going to bring federal resources back to Wisconsin and we’re traveling the entire state. We’re not just running a campaign out of Milwaukee or Madison, but we’re coming to Oneida County, we’re going to Marinette.”

Lasry says he intends to prioritize rural parts of the state as well as urban areas if he wins the nomination.

The 33-year-old is the son of a billionaire and currently on leave from his job as a Milwaukee Bucks executive.
