Nicolet College is shining a light on its students and the role the college plays in the community.The technical college held a small ceremony to kick off Community College Month.She shares the story of one of the college’s student ambassadors.

About seven months ago the USDA expanded its Rural Partners Network to Wisconsin.It’s a group of five community networks across the state.Locally it includes Forest County and the Northern Wisconsin community which includes Ashland, Iron, and Price counties.

More than 520 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced in state legislatures across the country so far this year.For this year’s Northwoods Pride Festival, organizers are focused on educating the community.

Nicolet College has been working with local tribal communities to better understand Native American culture and learning.It’s been incorporating what it’s learning into its curriculum.Now, Nicolet College has released the Indigenous Ways of Knowing report to share that knowledge.

A traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is coming to Nicolet College in May.The college is one of 31 sites selected in the U.S. to host it.

Students from 13 different local high schools spent Friday at Nicolet College for the High School Competition Day.Students went head-to-head in 13 different academic areas ranging from crime scene investigation to still life drawing.

Nicolet College is working to make sure students are taken care of on and off campus.It recently started its own food pantry for students.

A Nicolet College graduate has been named the 2022 Wisconsin Technical College Alumni of the Year.It’s the first time the honor has been given to Nicolet graduate.

Nicolet College's indigenous art class was one of four programs selected for the WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies’ national WOW award. It recognizes outstanding work in online education.
