A Rhinelander man faces a possible long prison term and six people in Forest county are facing a variety of charges after a large drug bust.
The Department of Justice undercover investigator and the Oneida County Sheriff's Department jointly worked on the online sting and arrested 36 year old Adam Van Roy. Law enforcement portrayed themselves as a 15-year-old-girl on social media. When they agreed to meet, Van Roy met law enforcement who arrested him. Van Roy is charged with felony attempted sexual assault of a child, attempted child enticement, and solicit intimate representation from a minor. He faces more than 40 years in prison if convicted.
In Forest county on March 7, reports of fighting and a loud party at 7840 Love Knot Lane in the Town of Lincoln resulted in the arrest of six people. Facing the most serious charges is 47 year old Robert Daniels, who allegedly told law enforcement he was alone. They later found several people in the residence and all were taken into custody. During a search of the residence, detectives located heroin, cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, firearms, digital scales and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Robert Daniels is facing 9 possible felony charges, while the others are facing fewer and lesser charges.
