WXPR Blues Cruise with Hughes

Direct from Memphis, Eric Scrappie Hughes or the "Boss of Beale Street" as he's known, brought his deep river blues to the Northwoods August 24th. Floating down the Wisconsin River took on a real Delta feel with Scrappie's authentic delivery of original compositions and blues classics.

From "The Ballad of Weevil Point Willie" to "Tested Positive for the Blues," Scrappie's musical storytelling and artistry are a pleasure to share with WXPR listeners on Blues Friday and live at the WXPR Blues Cruise.

Learn more about Scrappie's latest release Drink Up! and follow the Beale Street blues man at his website, Eric Hughes Band.

Thanks to the Zastrow family and crew of Wisconsin River Cruises for their support of the WXPR Blues Cruise.
