Summer tourism in the Northwoods is ending and some of our seasonal residents are leaving the Northwoods for their permanent homes elsewhere.
At Holiday Acres Resort in Rhinelander, a dedicated group of family and friends have been coming up north the last week of July every year for over 60 years. Kate Zambon recently asked some of them to interview each other at Holiday Acres about what that tradition and the Northwoods as a whole means to them.
Mackenzie Martin produced two of those interviews for radio as part of WXPR's We Live Up Here series. Those featured were Tom and Daniel Clifford and Beth Harwood and Nancy Nedland.
Here are the unedited interviews from everyone else who participated in Kate Zambon's project (listen in stereo):

Holiday Acres' StoryCorps project was organized by Kate Zambon. Evan Verploegh recorded all of the interviews.
