Thursday, Friday and Saturday is the inaugural "Project North", a music, art and sustainability festival in downtown Rhinelander.
Also this weekend is the annual 'School of the Arts' being held at Treehaven near Tomahawk and the opening reception Thursday at 5 p.m. of the 32nd annual Northern Art Competition at Nicolet College, a joint venture of the Northern Arts Council and Nicolet College.
Besides more than 30 bands, there's an Eco-Village, showing sustainable practices.
