Rhinelander District Library Begins Curbside Service

Rhinelander District Library

The Rhinelander District Library is now offering curbside pickup of materials. The library remains closed due to the COVID-19 impacts.

Library Director Virginia Roberts says you can go online to the library's website and pick out what you want...

"We're asking people to select up to 10 adult and up to 20 kids materials and limit it because at the moment we are limited to just our Rhinelander materials to offer to our Rhinelander patrons only..."

You log on with your Rhinelander District Library card. Roberts says all materials are quarantined for at least 72 hours per CDC guidelines. She says the process is no contact. You set an appointment to pick up the materials by the back door...

"You come up to the ramp, wave to us through the door so we know it's you, and you go back to your car with your stuff. If you have a bag, that's great, we're not bagging things at this point..."

She says they don't deliver materials as they must be picked up at the library.

If you don’t have a computer, Roberts says you're welcome to call the library from 9a-5p Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday until 1 p.m. to ask for a particular item or a type of book or film.

Roberts says they started last week with the materials that were in hold and it went well.
