Boulder Junction Changes July 4th Activities

After talking to health officials, Boulder Junction leaders have decided to cancel the July 4th parade along Main Street, but a small ceremony will be held at the American Legion Post that day. The American Legion sponsored ceremony will be at noon at the Veterans Memorial Triangle on July 4th.

In a press release from the Chamber of Commerce, they report local businesses will be participating in a Patriotic Decorating Contest. The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite display. Images of the decorations will be on the chamber's website atboulderjct.org  Awards will be presented to the top three businesses on July 6.

Boulder Junction’s fireworks, sponsored by the Town of Boulder Junction, will be displayed at 10pm on July 4th at the Boulder Junction Airport. A few additional changes are being implemented for safety that all attendees. Private fireworks and grilling out is not allowed, restrooms will not be available and there will be no play area up front for children – families must stay by their vehicle. They thanked the public for their cooperation and patience.
