Tomahawk Main Street Cancels Fall Ride Activities
Another community group has decided against hosting an event because of coronavirus.
The Tomahawk Main Street Board announced they decided to cancel their portion of events for the Downtown Tomahawk Fall Ride this year, Sept 17 to the 20th.
A release said the uncertainties of covid-19 weighed heavily on the decision. They said the decision did not come easy, and Tomahawk Main Street will continue to offer support to the businesses that are moving forward with their own events. They said they look forward to hosting the event in 2021.
Another of the main groups putting on the event , the Muscular Dystrophy Association, announced in early June they were pulling out of the event for this year because of virus concerns
. One event held during the Fall Ride is Bubba's Big Party at Nokomis. That website has events planned for September 14-20. An Oneida County Board committee approved the permit for that event. More on that story is below.
