A Wausau K-9 is getting the front cover treatment from a magazine.
K-9 Astor and handler Jason Pacey will be on the next "Police K-9 Magazine."
Wausau's unit will be spotlighted as its featured unit for the issue.
Pacey says the picture was taken over the previous summer and didn't realize he was going to be on the cover until Friday morning.
He adds that it's a privilege to be on the cover and feature Wausau in this way.
"It is definitely a challenging position to have at the department. It does put a lot of additional hours in every month to have a police K9 and what our K9s actually do out there," Pacey said.
The issue comes out later this month.
