Sentencing delayed in Marathon County murder case

A woman convicted of killing her husband in Marathon County will have her sentencing delayed.

Cindy Schulz Juedes had originally been scheduled for sentencing Thursday for the killing in 2006.

Instead there will be a calendar call in the matter as officials finalize a court-appointed attorney for her.

Schulz Juedes had previously been represented by an attorney from the Twin Cities, but he withdrew earlier this year.

Either way she faces a mandatory life sentence for shooting Ken Juedes, likely to get at millions in assets and life insurance money as part of the couple's brief marriage.

She was found guilty by a jury last fall, despite her efforts to pin the crime on a group of five other men.
