Every once in awhile, there is a topic so big, that we devote a forum to discussing it in-depth. It gives us the chance to understand all of the sides of the issue, rather than just a few points of view.

34th State Assembly Forum Held At WXPR

Jessie Dick WXPR

The candidates for the 34th District Assembly seat answered 13 questions from a media panel Wednesday at the WXPR White Pine Room leading up to the November 6 mid-term election. Republican incumbent 34th Representative Rob Swearingen and Democratic challenger Chris Meier of Eagle River answered questions ranging from road funding to property taxes. The forum is part of a political block coming to WXPR this Sunday.

At 9 a.m. is a rebroadcast of a debate between U.S. Senate candidates Tammy Baldwin and Leah Vukmir. At 10 a.m. you'll hear a debate between candidates for Governor, Scott Walker and Tony Evers, then at 11 a.m. is the forum involving Rob Swearingen and Chris Meier.

That leads up to NPR's "The Politics Show" at noon.

Ted Radio Hour, This American Life and Radiolab will not be heard this week.
